Of course you know how special my weekends are. I decided I wanted to attempt to make some baked chips for hubby for his late Friday night dinner.
The key to making great baked chips is to cut them thin. I don’t use my mandolin much but it sure comes in handy for making chips.
I sliced up two russet potatoes. I brushed each slice with a little olive oil sprinkled a little salt and garlic salt. I flipped them and did it on the other side. I preheated the oven to 400 degrees. I cooked about 12 minutes and then flipped them. I set the timer for 12 minutes but I kept an eye on them and removed the ones that were getting too brown. The only bad part is that I had to use about four pans to cook these because i wanted them to have plenty of room.
The perfect baked chip! Who said you need to buy a bag of Lays!
Hope you give them a try. I know I will be making these again. Next time will be sweet potato.

AMAZING! WOW! I’m really hungry now!
Good to know you’re doing fine.
Take care and best wishes.
